Changes In Scottish Government Legislation For NHS Dentistry

From the 1st of November 2023 NHS dentistry is undergoing significant changes as the result of new Scottish Government legislation.

Your dental check-up will still be free but will now be a minimum of every 12 months unless clinically indicated.

NHS charges will also increase for treatments if you pay for your dental care. If you are in receipt of certain benefits or under 26 years of age, as before, you will continue to be exempt from patient charges.

Please be patient during your dental visit as our team adapt to the new legislation that guides how we deliver your NHS dental care.
